-- Her body longed for him. Oh how she craved him. Right now she didn't need anything except for her husband. No one had provided her with such warmth and devotion. When in his presence she never wanted anything except him; no food or drink, no music or her ladies. Joscelin was the only person she ever saw. Her eyes were blind to everything and everyone else. And to be honest, she didn't care who realized or saw it. Danielle knew it wasn't common for people to have such a bond that she and Joscelin had. She knew what went on with the courtiers. Danielle would've never compromised herself, even had she not been so infatuated with Joscelin at such a young age. The girls had no pride, no respect. They were just so hungry for the power and attention. Then again, what else did they have to do? They already had everything; the money, the fancy clothes.
-- All thoughts were sent from her mind when he smiled, and her mind went completely blank when he kissed her. She felt her skin tingle where his hand brushed against her. He was doing this just to tease her, she knew it. Although it drove her half insane, she loved every second of it. Then they started to move down her thigh. Danielle wished they were traveling the opposite direction, until they started to unfasten her dress. She wiggled and squirmed - trying to hurry along the process. It felt so restricting now! More than it ever had before. Joscelin was being so mean to her! "Oh just rip it again. Get it off." Danielle protested, sighing impatiently. She didn't care about the dress. It wasn't one of her favorites anyway. Not that Joscelin had thought about that earlier.
-- "But that doesn't mean you need to take you time with everything, my love." She grinned. The relief was sweet when he finally took her dress off and she heard it fall to the floor. The cool air caressed her smooth skin along with Joscelin's lips. This is the only time she would allow him to be slow and careful. Soon his fingers were trailing the path where his kisses had been moments before. Her skin took on a healthy flush as she became full of want and need. Danielle giggled softly as he nipped her skin gently, then her hip. Everything was so overwhelmingly intoxicating. So many emotions and feelings were rushing through her small body.
-- Then his lips fell on her most intimate spot as her parted her thighs. A moan escaped her lips as she felt his warm breath upon her. More! She wanted so much more. Danielle looked down her body and met her husband's eyes. The gentle whisper of her name sent another warm breath across her skin. "Joscelin." She responded in a breathless whisper. She wanted to speak his name over and over in only a way she could say it while in the throes of passion and love. Danielle also craved to hear her own name uttered from Joscelin's lips time and time again. To hear him cry out for her in their act of lovemaking. There was nothing else like it.

"Ah, but what if I do?" Joscelin asked. If it were not for the gleam of amusement in his eyes then she would have undoubtedly thought him genuine, but even then, mayhap he was . . . at the very least somewhat. "What if I wish to relearn every bit of you?" He asked in wonder, and his tongue trailed over her in an achingly slow motion. He smiled when he withdrew his tongue, and he set his chin upon her stomach whilst he gazed up at her. His hard, calloused fingertips traced figures along her naked thighs as he spoke.
"Do you recall our first night together as husband and wife?" He asked, curious, although he was certain that she did remember it, and even in more detail than he had. Joscelin found that women were like that, at least Danielle was, and he oft had been teased for his lack of memory at times. Granted, Joscelin's memory was far superior than it had been in his youth; after all, he had been a wild child who thought of nothing else other than the now - and attacking Danielle with affection when he finally met her.
"You were so shy," Joscelin whispered. "You would barely even allow me a peek!" He added, smiled, and wrinkled his nose as he bit at her stomach. "Now look at you...you are so comfortable in your flesh," he said as his fingertips ran the length of the underside of her thighs. "Making love in the garden, begging me to rip your dress free, and thinking of me in all manner of ways," he mused, and Joscelin smiled sweetly at her. "How do your ladies not suspect?" He asked, genuinely curious as he grinned at her.
Joscelin felt so alive with her there and then. Simply being with her reminded him of their youth and all of the experiences they had had until that very moment. He regretted nothing. He loved her . . . truly and genuinely. He had been told of love before, and honestly, he hadn't understood what it could be until he found that he could not be parted from her. Being away from her made his heart ache, and he dreamt of her . . . dreamt of things that made his blood run hot and beat in his ears. They were dreams that made him want, want, want her, unlike he had ever wanted anything before.
He loved it . . . He loved every bit of being with her, and he prayed that nothing would put an end to it. Quietly, Joscelin lowered his mouth to her, and he kissed her once more . . . tender, gentle, and ever loving. He feasted on her with slow, drawn out kisses before he bit her innerthigh with a shaky sigh.

-- Danielle loved the playful gleam in his eyes, and it was hard to tell if he was joking or being serious. She wouldn't be surprised if he did just to make her wait - to torment her. Oh how she loved it though. She loved the way he took his time and made her want it more than she had ever wanted anything before. "Well not much has changed, but feel free to explore." Danielle told her husband smiling. She pressed gently against his tongue as it moved over her, causing her to moan out in a breathless whisper. Her hands ran through his hair. He knew exactly how to make her body fill with need for him. But she longed to run her hands and mother over Joscelin's body as well. It had been so long since they had been this intimate with each other. It had been far too long.
-- The moan was followed by a laugh. "I do remember." How could she forget? It was as if it had just happened yesterday. Danielle could remember their entire wedding day in great detail. It had been the happiest day of her life. She also remembered worrying about their wedding night as well. Never had a man seen her naked body, or came close to being intimate with her. Danielle had been so...pure and innocent. She nodded as he reminded her of her shyness. "I was worried! I didn't really know what to expect." Danielle admitted. Now what would people think? She was so connected to Joscelin both mentally and physically. She enjoyed making love to him.
-- She squirmed as his fingertips ran along her thighs. "I'm no longer naive, my love. I love the feelings you give me." Danielle told him honestly. No one had told her how good it would feel. All they said was you were expected to lie with your husband whenever he wanted. They had made it sound like it was a horrible thing! She had heard bits of information from the older girls who were either married or had given their virtue to a boy they had trusted. Danielle always knew she had wanted to save herself and wait until she was happily married. Joscelin had been so careful with her. "I remember how gentle and caring you were with me in the beginning. It was almost as if you expected me to break." A cute giggle escaped her lips. It was very endearing and Danielle had fallen deeper in love with him. Every day she found new reasons why she loved him.
-- "I'm sure they do. Especially after today. Some of them surely were to have heard." It was thrilling to her though! It was rather exciting knowing the people had heard them and knew just how much they loved each other. It must be a surprise to them, though, that there queen would allowed to be ravished in a garden in the open. Anyone could have caught them. What would have happened? They ought to be more careful the next time. It wouldn't look good, but she really didn't care. Let them talk! Danielle didn't care who knew. They were rightfully married and should enjoy what came with being married to the one you truly loved. Danielle would gladly give her body to her Joscelin again and gain - as many times as he wanted her.
-- Then his mouth was back on her and she wanted more of him. Danielle loved the way he kissed her and nibbled on her thigh. She could feel his warm breath against her skin. She placed her hands on either side of his face and guided them up towards her own. Danielle kissed him deeply with every ounce of passion that filled her body. Her hands moved to the laces on his tunic and tried to tug it off. "I want to feel your warmth." She murmured softly between kisses. Danielle loved laying with him skin on skin. To feel his warm, muscled body against her own petite one made her feel so safe. There was nothing like it. It always made things more intimate and made her want him even more.

Joscelin could still recall their first night together as if it had happened only the day before. Yes, she had been naive, and yes, she hadn't known what to expect, but that hadn't mattered. She had Joscelin, and he had been tender, gentle, and careful with her in each and every way imaginable. He made certain to see to her pleasure first and to show her that their union did not need to be harsh. Instead, he had shown her what it could be and so much more, and she had shown him that marriage need not be the end of their union.
Their union, as husband and wife, only seemed to be the beginning of something far more. He couldn't imagine a life without Danielle. It just seemed wrong, and if somehow something horrid ever happened to her, and if he lost her, Joscelin didn't know how he would be able to carry on. He didn't know how he would be able to return to a semblance of normalcy, and if he had been asked to claim a new wife, he was uncertain if he could even do that.
He chose to shove the thoughts out of his mind.
Then her hands were upon him . . .
He turned his face to kiss her palm and her fingers before he was led up her body. She guided him to her, and he kissed her back deeply. Her passion was echoed by his body, which roared to life with a heat unmatched by anything else. His heart beat fast as she freed him of his clothing. His sunkissed, hard flesh was warm to the touch . . . the warmth that she wanted, and so much more. He drew back to the tunic and discarded it, and he drew down his breeches to bare his muscular thighs and the heat of his passion to her.
He lowered himself between her thighs and fitted himself within her with a sigh.
"We fit so well together," Joscelin murmured huskily and buried his hands deep within her hair. He turned her face toward his as his mouth brushed hers tenderly. "Danielle," he started as his hips moved achingly slow against hers. His eyes were warm with pleasure, want and need. "I will put an end to this war and see peace brought to our people . . . I will see this world safe to bring our child into," he said, once more bringing light to what he wanted from her . . . no, with her.
He brushed his nose against hers and his mouth fell warmly on hers.
The last thing Joscelin wanted to do was bring a child into the world when everything was so uncertain. King Andrew of Tyrian still ran rampant. Each day brought more complains, grievances, and reports of violence on the borders of Solraya - skirmishes that continued to tack numbers onto the casualty count of Solraya. All the while he attempted to outsmart Andrew, and yet, he had failed thus far. No matter what he did Andrew seemed to out manuever him. If he had been a weaker man, he would have laid down, belly up, and given up. Yet, he hadn't, nor would he ever.
He would fight back, trump Andrew, and when King Andrew Stewart was dead, Joscelin would see Tyrian absorbed by Solraya. He would see their nations combined, and he would see Tyrian's people cared for. He would do something his father had been incapable of doing.
His thoughts trailed as a moan broke free of his mouth, and his hips hitched, rolled, and buckled. He was home here with Danielle, and Joscelin longed to stay here for an eternity. He longed to stay where he was safe and no harm could befall him. Where the worries of the world were the furthest things from his mind. Where he could be himself.

-- Danielle's cheeks flushed as more thoughts of their wedding night arose. She had been so nervous. Not only for the act of consummating, but she was worried it would change them. If anything, it had made them closer and stronger. She was completely devoted to the man on top of her. She could never imagine taking another husband should something happen to him. It would feel as if she were having an affair! Joscelin was her one true love. No one could come close to him, or ever take his place. How gentle he had been. That was one thing among many that hadn't changed. He was always so tender and patient with her. Never once did her make her feel anything less than beautiful and incredible. Especially now.
-- His lips kissed her soft palm before moving up towards her. As they kissed she could feel both their bodies come to life, controlled by the passion and desire they both felt. Finally Joscelin was freed of his clothes and Danielle let her eyes wander over his bare body. Everything about him was pleasing to her. Her eyes held no shame as they lingered on the proof of his lust for her. Then he was within her and her eyes found his again. Danielle let her back arch up against him and a soft moan escape her lips. "Our bodies were made for each other." They were two pieces of the same puzzle.
-- "Joscelin. Danielle echoed in a breathless sigh of pleasure. He was moving so slowly and she was overwhelmed with feelings - his hands in her hair and his lips brushing against her own. There was no other feeling like making love to her husband. Danielle was happy to be able to share this with him; someone she loved and trusted more than anyone else. "I know you will." She believed every once of his words. A child is what they both wanted. But would it be right to bring one into the world now? Amidst the chaos and possible war between Solraya and Tyrian. And she knew Joscelin would hate having to be away from them for so long while he was planning strategies and talking with his advisers. They would have a child when the time was right. How exciting it was though! Danielle couldn't wait to be a mother.
-- Her eyes closed as their noses brushed, then flickered back open as she smiled. Joscelin's moan sent a wave of pleasure running through her, coupled with the erratic movement of his hips. Danielle moved slightly against him, moaning all the while. Why couldn't they stay here forever? Losing contact with anything and everything. Their chamber was their sanctuary. While they were here thoughts could not nag at them - their mind could rest and they could simply enjoy being within each other's company. Even Joscelin's mere presence in a room could completely change her mood or outlook on things. And all for the better.
