It had been slightly over a month since Cadence Black, or the Princess of Tyrian, had arrived at the castle that belonged to the right King and Queen of Solraya. Over a month since King Joscelin and Queen Danielle had listened to her pleas, give her the warmest welcome anyone could for a princess of a country that had a greedy, selfish, cruel tyrant as it’s leader and accepted her into their lives. Queen Danielle had been a quick ally for her listening to her story and having pity for the young, scared woman who was now back at Court, but it was very different for Cady to get adjusted back to court life. She had sworn to never return back to court life yet here she was back at court. Just a different court.
Cady glanced around the Queen’s chambers just having a quick lunch while Queen Danielle had decided to surprise her husband with a lunch to give him a break from his meetings all day. Ever since Cady had informed His Majesty of the war plans that her own father had, King Joscelin was in meetings all day long which she knew did annoy Queen Danielle a bit. They truly loved one another and enjoyed being married which was very different, yet refreshing for Cady. Cady was always sending messages from the Queen to the King and she knew of their love and affection for one another. She could only hope that one day she would find someone like that. She glanced over at the clock along with the rest of the ladies-in-waiting to her Majesty to arrive back. Queen Danielle had informed her to stay close since she had something to talk about when she returned.
She was not a lady-in-waiting yet she had the Queen’s friendship and loyalty which made her practically one. Finishing her lunch, she decided to write a letter to Charles once more. He had written to her recently and she needed to write him back. She missed Charles more than ever now that she was back wearing fancy gowns and being in a castle once more. She sat down slowly and grabbed some ink and paper and began to write her letter before Her Majesty came back. She wrote him quickly, sealed it tightly and then gave it to the guard outside of her chambers.
“Can you have this delivered to Rose Miller, the tailor in town and make sure it gets there quickly.” She asked one of them softly and they nodded as one guard took the letter and made his way down the hallway towards a messenger that was always around in case of emergencies. Rose was the one who got the letters delivered to Charles. She straightened out her simply black silk dress and sat back down grabbing one of King Joscelin’s shirts that he had asked her to sew up for him that had been torn during sword practice with the Duke of Suffolk and the Duke of Kingsley. She carefully took one of his shirts, grabbed the needle and thread and began to work on it hoping that His Majesty would be satisfied. If he trusted her enough to mend his shirts, then she would do the best that she could.
Suddenly the door opened and the guards bowed outside and she quickly stood up along with everyone else in the room as they greeted Queen Danielle. She smiled warmly at her and bowed when she walked over, “Hello Your Majesty, did you have a good lunch with the King?” She asked her curiously hoping that she did. They had been in the dining room for almost an hour.

-- Danielle was in wonderful spirits today. Today she had surprised her wonderful husband with a lunch. He had seemed relieved to have a break from his endless meetings. She was glad she was able to steal him even if it had been a shorter amount of time than she would have liked. Then again, Danielle was grateful for any moment spent with Joscelin no matter how brief or quick. She was also excited about the proposal she was going to make to Cadence. Danielle had made instant friends with the princess, and she knew Joscelin enjoyed her presence as well. They had both made a promise to protect her and treat her with nothing but kindness and respect. She would forever have a home in their castle, as long as she wanted it. She kissed her husband good-bye, promising to see him that evening in their chambers. How she missed him. She could tell that the stresses of the information that Cady had brought was wearing on him. Danielle was doing everything she could to ease his mind.
-- He seemed happy for the time being and she hurried along to her own chambers to speak with Cady. She entered the room with a large smile on her face. "Hello everyone. And yes, Cadence, I had a marvelous lunch! I hoped to have eased his mind for even a few moments." Danielle never thought about taking care of Joscelin as a job or a chore. She loved it and enjoyed every moment of being his queen. Danielle moved her eyes about the room, excusing everyone except Cady for the time being. "I'd like to talk to you about something." She spoke, motioning for them to sit in the two chairs in her chambers. Danielle couldn't hide her excitement. She really hoped Cady would accept her offer.
-- Once they had sat down, Danielle fidgeted with nervous excitement. "I have something I want to ask you." A small giggle escaped her lips. "Would you like to be an official lady in waiting? But there is one more thing as well." She paused, gathering her thoughts and trying to calm down just a bit. "King Joscelin and I would like to extend to you our deepest gratitude. We want to make sure you know that you will always have a home here, as long as you want and whenever you need." She spoke with all the sincerity she could muster and her eyes shown with truth. It had actually been her own idea and Joscelin had accepted with enthusiasm. Of course Danielle had been wary of the girl at first, but she had always trusted her. Now Danielle couldn't imagine things without her. Certainly the girl wouldn't want to go back to Tyrian, and it would probably be better off for her not to go back. If her father ever found out she was helping them, well, it wouldn't end well.
-- Danielle also wondered how her brother was getting along. She would assume they both held the same moral values if her brother was getting the information from their father to help Solraya defeat King Tyrian. Both Danielle and Joscelin knew the importance of the help they were receiving. It had certainly been a miracle. But would Cady want to stay in the castle? Did she want to move into her own estate? Danielle wondered if the girl had really thought about these things. She knew how nervous she had been when she first arrived, as anyone would be. "And even if, for some reason, you chose to move from the castle, you will forever have the support of myself and the King. We will always be in debt to you for saving our lives and Solraya." Danielle added as an afterthought. Cady would be responsible for Solraya returning to the peaceful state it had once been in before the attacks by her father.

Cady knew of the care and responsibilities that came with the prospect of being close to the Queen. Danielle was a young, kind, caring, fair queen that dealt with the same problems and conflicts as King Joscelin did. She had once told Cady that it was her wanting to care for his needs and she would do whatever it took to help him be at ease. She couldn’t imagine how much stress the King and Queen were under especially since she had arrived at Court. She promised that she would help them out in any way she could and she meant every single word of it. Her loyalty now and would always be for the country of Solraya and their leaders. Once she reassured King Joscelin and Queen Danielle of her loyalties she had never felt cared for welcomed anywhere. They were almost friends at least, especially her and Queen Danielle. The two young women had quite a bit in common and they bonded over their love of country and for specific people around them. Cady truly felt that she had a real confidante in Danielle and she hoped the feeling was mutual.
She snapped her thoughts away when Danielle entered the room and everyone around her curtseyed in front of her and Cady glanced up when Danielle smiled and answered her question and then asked her to join her in her private chambers alone. Cady was suddenly a bit nervous and confused as she quickly lifted up her skirts and followed Danielle into the room where the other ladies-in-waiting were staring at her hard and the guards closed the door behind them. She sat across from Danielle at her small table where tea was waiting for them right on time.
“Of course your Majesty, anything you wish.” Cady stammered as she sat down slowly and took a sip of her tea as she listened with careful ears. Her eyes went a bit wide as she quickly swallowed her tea so she would not choke on it startling the poor woman in front of her. Her and King Joscelin wished for her to be an official lady-in-waiting? She could not believe it, she was so excited. She gave Danielle a bright, warm smile.
“I would be honored to become a lady-in-waiting to you Your Majesty; however, I must confess I do not know much about being one. I apologize ahead of time if I offend you or do something wrong. I never want to disappoint you or the King. I will do whatever you and the King wish for me to do. I am actually still tending to His Majesty’s shirts when they got torn from fencing with the Duke of Suffolk and the Duke of Kingsley the other morning. I will be done with them in a matter of minutes. It is such a honor to make the trust and guidance of you and the King close at all time. It means the world to me that you both trust me to be in your presence.” She said proudly and excitedly smiling the entire time. She would do whatever it took to stay in Solraya and be at peace.
Danielle’s kind, comforting words of always have a home here or somewhere else and having the support of her and the King made her speechless. She did not know what to think, she never could believe such loyalty existed anywhere. She might not ever get use to this kind of kindness or friendship from anyone let alone the King and Queen of Solraya.
“Your Majesty as you know it is very rare for me to get speechless, however, I can not thank you enough for your kindness and generosity towards me when I feel as if I do not deserve it. I betrayed the land I once loved. I betrayed my family except my brother. I ran away from home taking the easy way out of life there and here I am in the royal court now a lady-in-waiting for the best Queen ever. I am forever in your debt. I did the right thing, I did what any normal person would who would ever come across. I must ask for your honesty here your Majesty, do I really deserve this?” Cady asked her curiously clearing her throat and taking a sip of her tea slowly.

-- Danielle realized how lucky they had gotten, and how lucky she was for getting on so well with Cady. The two had bonded during Cady's stay and it was nice to have someone to talk to, a new face and new opinions. And it was such a relief that Cady cared about Solraya just as much as she and Joscelin did. The girl must be the only person Danielle didn't feel she had to worry about. Of course not all of her suspicions were erased completely. But it was smart to not ever be too trusting or over confident with someone or something. It was oftentimes that small fear or suspicion that prevented bad things from happening. Danielle didn't think it was normal to not be scared of anything. Even her strong and noble husband was scared of something things. Not that he had any reason to be. Joscelin was perfect and invincible in her eyes. Sometimes that thought was the only way Danielle could find to not worry about her husband when he was away from her. Or rather, not worry as much.
-- She felt kind of bad, poor Cady looked worried. She really had nothing to fear though. If only she could see that Danielle only had good things to say! Danielle instantly became concerned when the young princess nearly choked on her tea. Was it really that much of a surprise? She was waiting for a true reaction from Cady, after she got over the sudden shock of it all. Danielle was relieved when the girl showed true happiness and gratitude. She was so happy that she had asked. She had picked the perfect time. She was worried that the offer would put the girl on the spot, and she didn't want her to say yes because she felt she had to. But Danielle had a feeling that if she didn't want to she would be honest about it.
-- "There is no need to worry, or to apologize. I'm sure the others will be happy to help as well as myself. Don't ever be too shy to ask a question." Danielle smiled warmly, and was quite charmed by the girl's apprehension towards her lack of knowledge. Did she think that a girl was simply born with the knowledge of being a lady-in-waiting? They all had to be taught. And it wasn't that hard of a job as the queen never got upset if they made a mistake. As long as they all tried their hardest. Which is what Cady was doing. "Take your time with his shirts. And I'm sure you could never disappoint us." It was very much true. Danielle couldn't ever foresee a time when Cady would disappoint either her or her husband. She had been nothing but a good addition to the castle.
-- "We both enjoy your presence! Danielle assured her. Just as Cady could not stop smiling, neither could Danielle. How could she not, though? It would be so exciting! Then they could both really get to know each other better and she was sure Joscelin would appreciate her looking over the girl, even though she was just a couple years younger than herself. They both needed someone to talk to, a true friend. Sure Danielle loved her other ladies in waiting, but she just didn't really get along with them as much as she did with Cady. It was funny how two people just became natural friends. Danielle had never really gotten on with the other women of the court. She knew what went on, and she didn't care for it. Not one bit. But there was no changing it. It was better to just accept it.
-- Danielle listened as Cady spoke to her. The girl was very wise, and Danielle could see why she might be conflicted. "There is no need to thank me. I would not have offered you any of this if I had not thought you were worthy of it. Do not think you are in my debt. I offered you this because you do deserve it. I would not lie to you. It is against my nature to lie about anything to anyone. You, and your brother, realized what your father doing is wrong. Not everyone would have the courage to do even half of what you did. If anything, I am in your debt. You have saved my Kingdom and given my husband new hope. You don't have any idea how much both of those things mean to me." Her voice was brimming with emotion that would be faked.

Cady was not sure what she had deserved to have the King and Queen fully trust her the way that they did. They did not have to believe her and Charles and just deal with them in their own ways, but she knew the moment King Joscelin let her inside of his offices to let her explain herself when she had interrupted their session of getting to know the people of their country and their needs. Her father had never joined her mother in those days and her mother was shy enough, beaten enough by her father that she could never do anything about the people’s problems in Tyrian anyways. Sometimes even her and Charles would be forced to go and they did not have the power like their parents had so she was surprised and disgusted by it all. The court of Solraya was completely different and that was probably why people sought sanctuary and peace here. There were often times where the King would ask for her opinion on warfare or would ask her to write her brother regarding a certain matter. She did not mind being the messenger.
She was very shocked and delighted to have a good friend already in Queen Danielle. She had expected her to be wary and suspicious by her, but Cady couldn’t ask for a better friend and ally at Court. Maybe that was why the other ladies-in-waiting seemed to not have liked her. Both coming from wealthy families and did not care to be greedy or selfish among several other things is what they bonded over. Cady was always there for Danielle who often worried about her husband and his affairs and she was always there to have a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen with.
“I will be forever grateful for your hospitality and trust Your Majesty, and that goes for the King as well. I would have told you as soon as I had arrived here several months ago, however, Charles my brother wished for me to wait so he could find out more valuable information from my…father for His Majesty. We wanted to get as much information as we could before informing you all before my father does something rash and dumb. He’s a tyrant who is cruel and full of malice. Your Majesties do not deserve to be victims of his wrath along with the citizens of Solraya. It means so much to me that you both trust me enough to ask me to be a part of your ladies-in-waiting. I will do whatever you and the King shall ask of me. I do not mind mending his shirts; it’s comforting to know that he trusts me enough to do so. Besides between me and you, boys will always be boys. His shirts were just as bad as Charles’ were when he was practicing his sword fighting.” She said with a small smirk as she took a sip of her tea and was reassured by Danielle’s words that she could do no wrong around them. It was kind and she did not deserve it sometimes.
Taking another sip of tea, she slowly digested Danielle’s words about her thoughts regarding her and her brother, it instantly caused a calm sensation run though her and she smiled brightly beyond excited that Danielle and even Joscelin had trusted her and Charles.
“Your Majesty words cannot even describe mine and Charles gratitude towards you and the King. We only did what we thought was right. I could not have slept at night if we knew what would happen if my tyrant of a father really did find a way to come in here and capture you and the King along with the capital. We do not want people to die for us. It was the right thing to do, we don’t long for the popularity or the riches. We just want Solraya to stand strong and win this god forbid it if it should arise, war. It means everything that you both trust us. We never wanted this to happen, it’s our father’s greed that caused all of us. In return you and His Majesty have saved mine and Charles’ lives as well. You could have turned us over to the authorities, yet you did not and we will always be in your debt. I hope to find someone that makes you happy like the King does. You truly have a happy, healthy marriage and I long for that someday. May I ask how you and His Majesty met?” She asked curiously taking another sip of her tea wanting to be happy like they were one day. She also knew that Danielle longed to become pregnant and she prayed that she would knowing that they would become wonderful parents.

-- Danielle hoped Cady was genuinely happy here - she seemed like it. It was relieving to Danielle that the girl finally had some stability and an easy life here. For her to turn out the way she did - so nice and true - with a father like King Tyrian was a miracle. She could see the promise in the girl, she was certainly a beauty as well. They had bonded quickly and easily. Their friendship was natural and so easy to fall into. They were alike in many ways and Cady was always there for her when she was worrying about her poor husband. Danielle hadn't felt as comfortable with any other of her ladies-in-waiting. She hoped the other weren't harsh to Cady when she wasn't around. She was sure they wouldn't. Danielle had hand-picked her ladies in waiting for their kind and pure traits. But even the purest of young women were corrupted by the court intrigue.
-- The smile from Danielle's face refused to fade as Cady once again spoke of how grateful she was for their hospitality and trust. "It was wise to wait. You had to make sure your words would be true. And I've always thought better a little late than never at all." Danielle giggled. Oh how she had made her Joscelin wait on her many times. Even if he got upset with her he never showed it. Had he ever been upset with her? Maybe she would ask him the next time they got a moment alone. Of course she got frustrated with him sometimes, but she had never been angry at him, and he had never made her upset. Joscelin never spoke down to her or made her feel inferior. He was perfect, in Danielle's eyes, in every way.
-- She let out a laugh at Cady's comment about boys being boys. "It's the truth. I'm always finding something of his that needs mending. I'd do it myself, but I've been so busy with keeping everything running smoothly to ease his burden. I know it's a trying time for everyone here at the castle. Even court has been a little gray. I'm thinking about throwing a ball! Wouldn't that be fun! I've been looking for an excuse to dress up and have some fun. We'd have a full menu - every food you can imagine! There will be lots of dancing and laughter. What do you think? Everyone seems to need a break from the worry of, well, everything going on. I don't want people to get too depressed. And they need to know we can still face this time with an upbeat attitude and a smile."
-- Danielle wondered if it was really a good idea. Cady would tell her if it was a good idea or not. Maybe she could help her plan it! How fun that would be! And Danielle had been looking for an excuse to get a new dress. She'd have to get two - to replace the one Joscelin had torn in their secret garden. Danielle suppressed a giggle at the memory of their passionate lovemaking. "And should your brother need a place to run, our doors will be open to him too. I know Joscelin would agree with me." She grinned. Danielle was sure that if she had a sibling back home she would miss them and want them with her. She especially wouldn't want them to get hurt. She couldn't bare the thought of Cady being sad because of something happening to her brother. They seemed to be really close to one another.
-- How had she and Joscelin met. "Well, it's not as exciting as you might think. My father was his father's advisor. Joscelin is very much like his father - noble, kindhearted, and a good head on his shoulders, and very caring. So once in a great while my father would bring me along to the castle. The king saw me and realized that Joscelin and I would get alone - and he could tell I was incredibly bored. So Joscelin drug me through the halls and gardens and I started going to the castle more and more. The King saw before Joscelin and I did that we were in love and a perfect match. Lucky for me I come from a noble and sturdy line so they always assumed that a marriage would be arranged in the future. Then one day Joscelin got the look in his eyes and he suddenly pulled me into his father's office and proclaimed he was going to marry me whether they wanted us to or not. Which was also news to me! I did accept - obviously. I think that's it really." Danielle spoke through her smile - remembering all the times she had Joscelin had spent together. And she wouldn't want to spend them with anyone else.

If Cady was expecting anything from King Joscelin and Queen Danielle, it was not this. She would never have thought that without a year of arriving in Solraya that she would be sitting across from the Queen herself drinking tea and talking like they had been friends for the longest time, maybe even since childhood. She never even expected that they would give her an audience let know welcome them to their castle and let her stay there. No matter what either of them told her about not having to be grateful for their hospitality, she always would be.
Cady smiled gratefully once more taking the last sip of her tea before standing up and heading towards the table where the pitcher of tea was located. She poured some for Danielle before pouring some for herself and carefully placing it back on the side table.
“I will forever be thankful for you and His Majesty, Your Majesty no matter how many times you both correct me. I only did what was right. Charles and I both grew up respecting you no matter how much our father was against it. We wanted to get the correct information especially regarding war tactics or locations of where cannons would be located so that the King would not be informed. I do agree with you on that, there were times I was terrified to come forward to tell you both, including how I actually I did it. I felt some sympathy towards you both and even the guards. I wonder how crazy you all thought I was at first, but it was the only way to receive your immediate attention.” She replied blushing a bit as she fixed Danielle’s tea the way she wanted it and then sat back down to place some sugar in hers before spinning it with the small teaspoon close by.
Giggling a bit at Danielle’s sudden laugh and remarks regarding how men will always be boys, regardless of their age, “I do not mind mending His Majesty’s shirts, he often asks me if I am around or delivering messages to him from you. Charles was the same way, he did not grow up mentally and emotionally until my father got injured about four years ago and he was not breathing for several minutes. He loves sword fighting, archery and all those sports. They say age is only a number and it is most correct for men since it seems like they will always like boys when it comes to fighting and sports, always trying to best one another. At least His Majesty here does not mind losing every once in awhile. My father could not stand it.” She replied with a sigh before taking another sip of tea before listening to a possible ball.
Cady’s eyes lit up with excitement, balls were always exciting and hearing how excited Danielle was even talking about it, made Cady happy as well.
“That is a wonderful idea Your Majesty. You are right; it would be a wonderful reason to forget about what is going on around us for one night. It also gives us something to do with planning as well. Easter is coming up in two weeks time. If you would like, we would be able to start planning whenever your Majesties approve. As ladies, I can safely say that we would love it. Men, however, are different stories. During a quick break last week, I was talking to the Duke of Suffolk who suggested that men only attend balls to look at women and drink. It just suggests that men and women are very different from one another no matter where you go. I love all the ideas you have in mind and as soon as you approve, we shall get planning.” She replied giving Danielle a smile at her saying that Charles was always welcome to their Court whenever he needed it.
“We are forever grateful and he will be once I write to him next, I shall mention your kind words. King Joscelin has said the same and the words are so kind and warming to us. He wants peace with lovely Solraya, not war.” She said and then listened with a smile at how she and the King met. It was a true fairytale of sorts and Cady found herself a bit jealous. She wanted true love like the King and Queen had one day.
“That is not boring whatsoever Your Majesty, quite the contrary, actually. It is very romantic and sweet. I hope to find love and happiness like that one day. There was a man back in Tyrian who was the court physician when I was younger whom I considered a close friend and after he left, I realized that I could have loved him, but I was only fifteen when he had left. I wish I knew where he was or that he was safe.” She commented back with a sigh wishing that she knew where Elias was.

-- Danielle thoroughly enjoyed granting Cady favors and didn't think twice about what she had given her for the girl was genuinely happy and thankful for all that they had given her. She appreciated it and that's what made it all worthwhile - was to see Cady happy. Danielle spoke her thanks when Cady returned with more tea. A small chuckle bubbled out of Danielle's mouth as she grinned. "There is no need to thank us - we simply did what we thought was right and you've turned out to be such a wonderful addition to the palace." She spoke honestly. Never before had Danielle had a friend such as the young woman sitting across from her. They really had gotten along from the very beginning. "I have to admit, I really didn't know what to think. I knew your words were true but you were so bold and foward! I was utterly shocked. I'm thankful the King had his wits about him. It seemed as if mine had flown out the window." She said lightly and playfully.
-- Men were impossible, but the sooner you came to realize that the easier they were to handle and to live with. Although she loved her husband dearly she'd be the first to admit that he had small little quirks about him and he would say the same about her. Everyone was odd in their own ways. Danielle clapped her hands together excitedly. "Marvelous! We shall get started straight away! I'm sure between the two of us it will be a ball not soon forgotten!" It would be a source of entertainment and a means of escape for the people of her kingdom. It would be a time to simply enjoy life and the things they had. Danielle loved showing off the palace, and she always ran herself ragged trying to plan everything to be perfect she really did love every moment of it.
-- "As soon as you hear back from him let us know what he says." It would be nice to meet this infamous brother character Cady always spoke about. He seemed to be a true gentleman and a good man at heart. Cady was obviously very fond of her brother and Danielle was very curious about him. It would be fun to have yet someone else in the palace to get to know and figure out. Her cheeks grew pink at the remembrance of she and Joscelin's love story. "Why thank you. I wish everyone could have someone like Joscelin and I are to each other. It's such an incredible gift and I'm very fortunate." Danielle added. It was something everyone should be privileged to. She was one of the few that had gotten to marry someone she actually loved and cared about and that said someone loved and cared for her in return. "I like to think everything happens for a reason. Maybe he will come back into your life some day." Danielle pondered.

Out of all the people that had come and gone from Cady’s life, she was still in a bit of a shock that she had met and gotten close with the actually Queen of Solraya herself. Danielle was exactly the woman that she had expected her to be, thanks to the gossip and rumors; however Cady found that Dani was so much more than that. She was a fair, kind, loyal friend to the end and she was truly the one that kept the King from losing his temper and sanity most of the time. He had confessed it to her ages ago when they had their first private meeting and she thought it was endearing and sweet, which was very accurate. Both of them had treated her with nothing, but kindness since she had arrived at the castle.
She then blushed a bit more, trailing her finger along the rim of the tea cup with a smile, “I still cannot believe I did that myself Dani, to be perfectly honest. I still feel a bit embarrassed of my actions to this day. I just felt like I needed to inform you in the fastest way possible. However it did catch your attention otherwise I would not sitting here drinking tea with you. I will still feel grateful until the moment I pass on to the other world to the both of you. The King himself I was most intimidated by, however, a friend pointed out that if he had been given the same news, he would have reacted the same exact way and that I probably would have too. As for being here, I have loved and enjoyed every moment here. Everyone has been so kind.” She replied with a bright smile as she brushed off some thread from her dress and smoothed it out.
A whole bunch of ideas were running through Cady’s mind regarding the ball, since her parents planned balls and hosted them quite often just to show off their money and elegance. She gave the Queen and close friend a warm smile, “Oh I know it will be as well. How about a Masked Ball Dani? Not only would it be entertaining and exciting to plan, it would be a good chance to interact with everyone there. It would be a mystery and maybe the people who are married can come as certain historical couples, I do not know, it was just an idea.” She said with a smile and a slight shrug of her shoulders taking another sip of tea.
Smiling at the idea of Charles and the King and Queen of Solraya meeting would be very interesting and informative. Charles knew the kingdom of Tyrian like the back of his hand and every moment her father made would be valuable to the kind King of Solraya who was trying his best to keep his country and armies united.
“Oh I shall inform you and the King whenever I receive a letter from him, whatever he says could change Solraya’s fortune in these events. I would hate to see a war break out between the two countries, but with my father, he is not so sure of what to expect. And I hope to find someone that I love as much as I love the King. It is very rare that people are married for true love and happiness these days. You got very lucky indeed your Majesty. As for Elias, I hope to find him one day as well. He was a dear friend and it hurt me very much to have him leave with no explanation. I however did meet someone in Avonderre when I was sent to retrieve the new dresses; I met the Lord of Avonderre himself, Lord Mercer.” She said with a small smile trying to hide it by taking a sip of tea thinking about Laeghton and how kind he had been to her.
