-- Danielle was extremely bored. She had nothing to do today. She had tried everything from sitting in the garden and drawing to sewing and mending and tidying up the house. Everything was in perfect shape, and sewing just wasn't holding her attention today, and she lacked inspiration to draw. Her husband was busy, per usual, and she hated bothering him. This was when she wished she had a child to tend to; she would never have to deal with having nothing to do. Children always needed tending to.
-- It was a beautiful day and the lady would hate to waste it indoors, or doing nothing. A trip to town would do the trick. She alerted her maid as to where she was going and grabbed her purse with a few coins. Danielle tied it carefully around her waist; short enough so that her hand brushed against it as she walked to prevent thieves from trying to steal it. She was all to aware of these kinds of things. Danielle felt sorry for those people who had to steal to survive. She always tried to buy things from the local merchants to support the economy instead of going to Avonderre. She enjoyed the personal feel; she knew everyone in the town.
-- As she approached the city centre she heard all sorts of hustle and bustle. The noise always brought a smile to her face. She walked by all sorts of booths and tents set up with a variety of goods. She didn't really know what she wanted to buy yet. Just as she was looking around, she noticed a man who seemed lost. She approached him slowly. "Good morning. Is there anything I can help you with?" Danielle asked him, smiling. She had never seen him before, and wondered if he was a new resident of Solraya. She was kind of excited at the idea!

The rickety hay wagon came to a stop at the crossroads. "The village is a few hours walk that way." The driver, an old farmer, pointed down the eastern road. The passenger, a much younger man, passed the driver a few coins and thanked him for the ride. Collecting his things, the passenger climbed down off the wagon. Before setting off, the man took a moment to survey his surroundings. The dirt road did not seem well traveled, and it was surrounded by pastureland for as far as the eye could see. He did not know the area, and could only hope that his destination lie down this road. He shrugged, adjusted his brown traveling cloak, and set off down the road. A few hours later, he did indeed come to the outskirts of a village. 'But is it the one I seek?' The man thought to himself. Passing through the gates, he walked on soon finding himself in what he assumed was the village square. It seemed to be a market day from the looks of things. Some of the villagers looked at him curiously, others warily, but none spoke to him. 'That's to be expected', he thought, 'these people probably aren't used to visitors, especially considering the circumstances if I'm in the right place.' But then, to his slight surprise, a woman did approach him. Noticing that her dress and bearing was different than your typical serf, he found himself curious as to just who she was. "Ah, good morning, madam...," He answered politely, "As a matter of fact, I was just wondering whether or not I've come to the right place. Please tell me, is this Solraya?"
(Sorry for the delay. I feel like I always suck at intros, so I hope it's okay.)

ooc;; it's perfectly fine. mine on the other hand... haha
-- Danielle was delighted when the man spoke so politely to her. "Good morning to you as well sir. And yes, this is Solraya. I apologize if people seem a little suspicious. They are usually much more friendly and welcoming." Surely he was aware of what was going on in the area. Of course it was a little suspicious; a stranger arriving in the small, close-knit town. She felt kind of bad for him, though. If anything happened, all fingers would point to him. She hoped for his sake that everything went smoothly, and he would be accepted into the community without any problems. However, her gut was telling her otherwise.
-- She shook off the feeling, and turned her attention back to the man in front of her. She was excited that someone new was in town. If he was as nice as he seemed to be, maybe it would make the villagers relax a little. They wouldn't think every new person they met was the beast that was attacking and killing so many innocent people. Luckily her husband was working with the Lord of Avonderre to make the town more safe and secure, and to prevent any beast from attacking at night. The only downfall, was that people believed the beast could turn into a human.
-- "I should introduce myself. I'm Danielle Brent, I'm married to the lord of the manor here." She said smiling. There was no need for formal introductions, in fact, she quite despised them. Danielle wondered why this man had come to Solraya in the first place. She always wondered about people; their history, why they were moving here, just anything about them really. To her, people were the most intriguing things on the whole entire world.

"Ah, good," He chuckled a bit. "I'm terrible with directions, you see." When she apologized for the others, his face became a bit more serious. "Do not worry, I take no offense." He was not unaccustomed to such looks, and had certainly received worse welcomes when his reputation as a magician preceded him. He couldn't really blame the people though. It was a natural reaction. Who wouldn't be suspicious of strangers during a time of strange occurrences? It was just the price he paid in the pursuit of occult knowledge. "The lady of the manor?" He said upon he woman introducing herself. Of all the people in the village, he did not think she would be the first one to speak with him. He bowed politely. "Allow me to introduce myself as well, m'lady. I am Vahn, a traveling scholar."
(Hey don't worry, yours is fine too.)

-- "I get turned around fairly easily in new places as well." Danielle said chuckling. She nodded. "Good. I was hoping you would understand. Once they get to know you, you will feel like you have lived here all your life." She told him honestly. Even people who have lived here for a while were suspected. The recent attacks were causing turmoil throughout Solraya. It could really be anybody, and even she found herself getting suspicious of others. She was normally very accepting of others, she always had been. It was probably because no one had any idea what the beast was, or who it was, or if it was even close to Solraya. It frightened her sometimes, if she really thought about it.
-- He spoke her title and she nodded, smiling. He probably thought it was odd she walk walking about, and spoke to him first. "No need for any of that." Danielle commented on his boy, although she giggled slightly. "It's nice to make your acquaintance." He seemed like a very nice man. "If you're a scholar, surely you have been to Avonderre?" She inquired. They had a very nice university there. Danielle had never been inside, but it was a remarkable structure from the outside.
